This is a masterpiece made entirely from Nanko plums grown locally in Wakayama Prefecture and brewed with vintage awamori. It has a unique and interesting wild earthy aroma and a pleasant sourness. The unique characteristics of the awamori and Nanko plums are fused together to create a wonderful balance of aroma and sweetness.
Brewery: Nakano BC Established in 1961 in Kainan City, Wakayama Prefecture Although the brewery was founded relatively recently, it began producing authentic plum wine in 1979. Taking advantage of its location in the nation’s No. 1 plum producing area, Nakano BC has developed and released a variety of plum wines (currently 35 varieties) that bring out the characteristics of fresh Wakayama Nanko plums. Their signature shochu brand is Fujishiro. This brewery is also notable for its Japanese craft gin.
